My first Art Fair…
So, I am finally venturing into attempting to sell some of my work at an art fair!
My college roommate, Angie, was kind enough to set me up with a table for free and I get to see if I am worthy of some $ for my work.
Needless to say, I am quite nervous. I’ve only displayed my work a few times throughout the years and not since college. I did sell one print at the very first show I participated at in Minneapolis. That, I believe, was during my first year in college and first semester of photography. I’ve always attributed that to a fluke.
If I can just sell a few prints I will be extremely happy. I know that if I do, that first purchase will be such a pathetic display of nervousness to be comical.
I am going to stick to landscapes of the Midwest as I know that they will have the most potential to sell. I will be selling both digital prints and prints that are hand printed in the darkroom. Still trying to decide if I should price the darkroom images just a bit higher as they take a bit more labor to produce.
Anyway, if you are in the neighborhood of Baraboo, WI, stop on by. I’ll be the nervous idiot in the leather hat…
